Events start at 7:30 pm, unless stated otherwise. For events at the Stonehouse Community Centre, please arrive between 7:15 and 7:25 pm. Visitor fee for each event is £3.00

Upcoming Events:

January 11th  
Growing Asian Vegetables in the UK. Join the Zoom talk by Sally Cunningham (RHS) at Stonehouse Community Centre.

February 1st 
Growing and Storing Vegetables without the use of pesticides in a cost-effective manner. Talk by Dr. Keith Ferguson.

March 1st 
Gardeners Question Time. Get answers about your plants from Elaine Shears and Clive Jelf. Cakes tea and coffee followed by a short AGM.

April 5th  
Garden Plants for Butterflies, Moths and other Pollinating Insects, and Why They Matter. Talk by organic gardener Sally Oates.

May 3rd
Lydney Park afternoon visit. Spring Gardens with camellias and rhododendrons. Car share departure from Stonehouse Community Centre car park at 1.30pm.

May 13th  
Stall on the Green.
Stonehouse. 9.00 -11.00. Plants and second-hand garden equipment sale.

June 7th  
Growing Sweet Peas for gardens and showing. Talk by Gill Hazell. Learn about sweet peas and how to grow them and keep them flowering with long stems.

July 5th  
Herbs and their Usefulness. Hand-on & interactive talk by Gill Plant on the history, science and growing of herbs.

August 5th  
Coach trip to two gardens in Herefordshire: Westonbury Mill Water Gardens and Hergest Croft Gardens. Depart the Green, Stonehouse at 09:30, return at 17:30.

September 6th  
Ponds and water features
. Learn why and how to set up and manage a pond and water features. Illustrated talk by Philip Aubury.

October 7th  Saturday – Annual Trip
Coach trip to RHS Garden Wisley.
Depart The Green, Stonehouse at 08:30, returning at 18:30.

November 1st 
Growing Fruit in Small Gardens.
Talk by Sally Nex, well known writer and gardener, who will be showing us how to maximise our garden space and our supplies of fresh fruit. Join a lively, interactive zoom talk in the Stonehouse Community Centre.

December 7th  
Christmas party.

    1. Hi Julie, the cost of the trip is £17 for SGC members and £20 for non-members.
